About

Patti and John have enjoyed many adventures in their forty-eight years together. Their last seven adventures have been cycling trips, riding recumbent trikes manufactured by a British company, “ICE Trikes”. The bikes were purchased from a bike store on the south coast of England, and they are put into a storage facility wherever John and Patti end each adventure. So far, the trikes have carried them 678 km from Weymouth on the English Channel to Cambridge (Fall 2022); 1064 km from Cambridge through Oxford and Cardiff, to Liverpool and Chester in England and Wales (Spring 2023); 1701 km, by ferry to Ireland then trike to Cork and Killarney, hopping back on a ferry to Brittany, cycling to Bordeaux in France, (Fall 2023); 1757 km from Bordeaux through the Pyrenees and occasionally on the Caminos in Spain and Portugal, ending in Lisbon (Spring 2024), 1587km from Lisbon to Chatres, France (avoiding the devastating floods in Valencia, Fall 2024), 1238 km from Chartres to Amersfoort, Netherlands (Spring 2025), and most recently, 1112 km from Amersfoort to St Albans, England.

Spring 2025 will take Patti and John from St Albans (just north of London) towards Scotland, route TBD. We enjoy visiting the historic sites of Europe and the United Kingdom, and the glorious views up and down the hills and through the villages and towns.

We have posted daily (almost …) descriptions of our travels as blog posts. If you haven’t already done so, we welcome you to subscribe. We don’t bury you with emails. We send out an occasional new post announcement with video, photos, and a short description of what we’ve experienced. Please feel free to unsubscribe whenever you like.
